To fully appreciate all the nuances of your Arigato Matcha, a good whisk is essential. Our traditional bamboo whisk, or Chasen, is the ancestral tool that will allow you to prepare a matcha worthy of the greatest Japanese ceremonies, with a fine and creamy foam, and a perfectly released flavor.
Material: Natural bamboo (approx. 120 prongs)
Use: Preparation of traditional matcha (Usucha, Koicha) and matcha lattes
Care: Rinse with clear water after each use and let air dry on a Chasen holder (not included) to preserve its shape.
How to use it
1. Prepare your matcha: Sift 1 to 2 teaspoons of matcha into your bowl.
2. Add hot water: Pour 50 to 70 ml of hot water (70-80°C) over the powder.
3. Whisk vigorously: Hold the Chasen firmly and whisk in quick, light "W" or "M" motions, avoiding touching the bottom of the bowl. Continue until you achieve a fine, frothy foam on the surface.
4. Enjoy: Savor your matcha immediately. Arigato Tip: To prolong the life of your Chasen, avoid letting it soak in water and use a Chasen holder to dry it and maintain its shape.
